Everything Our Hearts Desire, 2020, is a record of a passing container ship. Shot in a single take in the Arabian Sea during a month-long journey at sea. In November 2018, I sailed from the UK, via the Suez Canal, to Malaysia onboard one of the largest container ships in the world. As the only passenger and woman, the journey felt like a self-imposed isolation, in which I discovered the remoteness of the ocean, the gift of time, and my simultaneous independence from and reliance on capitalism.
