Landscape Experiment – Blue I, II & III
It’s a relief to do something practical in parallel to writing. These three have been on the go during writing my research paper. Antithesis. Each was a painting of a landscape that I have visited. I turned them all upside down and added the blue. It was more a case of scrubbing out the background – hiding what was there before. It now only exists in my memory. I enjoyed the process of painting and was happy with them until I looked at them in the studio, where the light was much better. I now feel like they will change to another state at some point in the future. However, their current form feels like a worthwhile development.
